Rev. Jackson L. Williams, Pastor and Teacher

Our Congregation...

is fashioned like an heirloom quilt that has survived as a legacy to many generations.  Crafted from religious diversity, our fabric is more than the sum of its parts and our differences only serve to enrich our life together.  There is strong unity in our fellowship as we seek to be a gathering of God's children, empowered by the Holy Spirit in worship and witness.  We live by faith, hope and love, the values the Apostle Paul instilled in the early churches, which continue to be the foundation of our mission and fellowship here in Kensington.

Our Vision...

is to be a community of faith, where all are called by God to be ministers to one another, living by His grace and nurtured by His love.

is to be a hopeful church excited and energized as we realize our potential for spiritual growth.

is to be a loving family, where all are welcomed and cared for, with God as our Parent.

is to be a group of eager disciples, putting Christian teaching and principles to work in service to our neighbors and to the greater world around us.

Calling all copper coins!  As the story of The Widow's Mite in the Gospel of Luke (21:1-4) reminds us, even seemingly small contributions can make a great difference.  The Sunday School is collecting pennies again this year with all monies going to help families dealing with cancer.  Children may bring pennies to their classes and adults may drop them in the receptacle at the back of the sanctuary after services.  Community members may drop unwanted pennies at the side door to the the church where there will be a small table and container.  Thank you!
